Re: honeymoon-options

Oooh, I agree - Key West is awesome!!! :) You could also look into some cute bed & breakfast places too. I know there are a ton right here in NY, and also some really nice ones in South Jersey too.

Virginia Beach is an amazing vacation!!! FH and I went there right after we graduated college as a gift to ourselves!!! We went jet skiing, parasailing, to the aquarium etc!! We went for 6 days and it was amazing!! :) we drove and it was about 9 hours but we stopped 2 times!

I highly recommend it! There are so many beautiful places to eat too!! My one complaint, not too much night life. There are restaurants open late etc, however, it is a relaxing place to get drinks, not a club/ bar atmosphere. This would be ok with me now, however, at 21 and just graduating college all I wanted to do was party! but it was amazing!!!

our hotel was 19 Atlantic Hotel. It is across from the boardwalk which I loved because it was like 10 steps to the boardwalk but far enough from all the beach noise! It was clean and wonderful!!! :) I highly recommended!!

For 6 days, eating (we love to eat! lol), drinks (we went drinking every night!), activities, we spent around $1300 total!

Is it within the states because of budget? Because if so, why not a cruise? You can get them for great prices, especially the time of year your wedding it.

A cruise is a great idea! If you book through a travel site and not through the cruise lines site you get GREAT deals and tons leave through ny so you save on airfare.. Also, carnival just announced they are cruising out of ny year round! We were looking at an 8 day carnival cruise from ny for under $600 per person! It averaged to less than $80 a night and that's money you save on hotel, airfare, AND food!
I'm a cruise fanatic sorry lol

A cruise would work very well for you on a budget, also Miami, and I definitely second the Disney World vote! (it's where FH and I got engaged)

go on a cruise!! you can leave from ny and its all inclusive all you need for spending is alcohol (which is cheap on the islands) and souvenirs but its your honey moon so you don't need many! :) just a good camera
