Honeymoon PICS :(

I know this is trivial compared to so many other things but......

I'm so upset because I lost half my honeymoon pics. I had them on the memory card and I hooked up the camera to my mom's computer and I couldn't find all the pics, only half. So my mom brought the card to her computer guy and he thought everything was fine because he saw the pics that I already found. So he reprogrammed the card. Now they're unrecoverable. My mom is gonna call the guy and see if maybe they might be on her computer, but I doubt it. I'm so upset. Need hugs.

Wow, you know, it made me think... we probably should take a regular camera AND our digital when we go on our HM.... maybe some good can come out of this post and other brides will see it and think the same thing!

I'm so sorry. The same thing happened to me. On the 2nd to last day of our honeymoon the digital card went blank. 275 pictures gone!!! We spent the last 2 days trying to relive our honey and retake the pictures. So all my honeymoon pics are in the same outfit!!! I can look back it now and laugh, its a trip I'll never forget, but at the time I was miserable.

I'm so sorry! When my parents went on their honeymoon 35 years ago a bunch of their film was lost on the flight back from Aruba. The few pictures they do have are priceless though and still capture the fun they had and the love they shared as new husband and wife.

I lost my pictures once from my son's christening and was SOOOO pi$$ed. I looked online for some photo recovery site and I found a program that I downloaded called digital photo recovery. You connected your camera to the computer and the program searched for old photos on your memory card. Thankfully, it restored all of my pictures. If someone reprogrammed your card...it might be to late..but check it out, it's worth a try.

Thanks for the hugs. Yeah, you can definately learn from my experience. We had the digital camera, water cameras, and a video camera. We have a lot of stuff on video, but not everything, and that was all on the digital. Bring backups and get your pics developed right away when you get back so nothing can happen to them.
