we went to aruba....

we went on this ATV tour....did anyone else that went to Aruba do the ATV tour? it was INSANE!! it was scary at some points, the trails are so rocky and steep but it took us to some amazing places, FH couldn't believe how brave I was hahahaha - those are the pics where I look like a huge dork and am wearing a hat and sunglasses The last stop was the Natural Pool - it was amazing - but I think I may have gotten reef rash on my foot - I banged it on what I thought was a rock but I have this weird thing going on with my foot a week later

we stayed at the Marriot Surf Club - its a timeshare, my DH's aunt let us use their week as a gift to so we really lucked out - there is a regular marriot, a marriot ocean club and a marriot surf club - the marriot hotels are at the very end of a strip of hotels - what is nice is that you can walk along the beach and get to all the other hotels on the strip.....we did that almost every day and every night and we saw a lot of other resorts - the Riu looked amazing, like a palace! we were like when we saw it....

it was HOT HOT HOT while we were there...maybe like 85-95 and one day there wasnt much of a breeze and i had to stay in the shade because it was just too hot in the sun - the breeze makes it tolerable, but once you go in the pool or ocean you really cool down. even though its hotter than say florida, i think it may have been more comfortable b/c of the breeze....i think that aruba's temperature stays the same the entire year b/c its close to the equator - i know december is their rainy season but it didnt rain at all while we were there - just the day we landed and that was for a very short time....its kind of like a rocky desert when you are outside of the hotels...

i would DEF go back - there is SO MUCH to do there, but we want to check out other places as well so we are torn.....DH wants to start planning another trip, im thinking Mexico maybe, somewhere not too far, i hear Mexico has some ruins and i like that sort of thing
