I went to both Portugal and Spain when I was 15! Loved them, but I think if I had to pick between I would say Spain definitely!!!

My absolute favorite that I went to though was Italy! I wish we could go there for our HM but the flights are really pricey right now

Re: Honeymoon places

I went to Spain for my HM, we went to Barcelona. We had the most amazing time and loved it. its funny bc last night we were watching a movie that showed Spain and we both said how we'd love to go back. I wasnt sure about how expensive spain would be with the Euro but it was surprisingly so affordable even with the euro. Everywhere we ate the food was amazing, and most times we just would walk around and pick random places. Barcelona was gorgeous, everyone was so nice, lots to see and do. I definitely recommend it, we didn't want to leave.

What questions do you have? anything specific you want to know

I went to Spain in 2005 - it's one of my favorite places in the world.

thanks for the info everyone

we are so lost as to waht to do. we have a week originally we were thinking spain and protugal and then we found a meditteranean cruise that hits alot of spot including Turkey and Crete whihc is awesome because I really wanted to see those places someday but becuase of international relations I wasnt so sure I would ever get to go or ever just stay in a hotel there for a couple of days. So we might be doing the cruise IDK the only thing I hate about cruises is you ddef don't get enough ttime in each place.

i agree that with some places you need more time bc theres so much to see. Dh and i have been on a cruise before but we did islands and even with small islands where theres not TONS to see, we felt we didnt have alot of time there. Usually we had time just to book one thing while we were there and maybe walk around for a bit but not much. With spain for example, theres so much to do and you really dont get to experience it the same way. You'll only be able to see one part and see just few things. Our best part of the HM was experiencing the lifestyle which we fell in love with.

I agree with Espo about not having enough time to experience the lifestyle. The best memories of my trip to spain were when my sister and I got lost driving around the countryside and we got to see things we never would have seen. We totally fell in love wit the Spanish way of life.

However, I have been to Turkey and was a little bit scared walking around. Not all countries like americans so much so for places like that a cruise would be beneficial. I'm not saying all places in Turkey are unfriendly - just where we were and when we went (it was right before 9/11).

So funny but dh and i got lost too, in spain its not like here that if you make 4 lefts youll end up in the same place we learned that the hard way, but we did see so many things and ended up being funny and we had fun in the end and i'll never forget that day.

It;s funny but everyday we went to a new place to see, and we would ask the ppl at the hotel how to get there and we always got there fine and didnt get lost and knew our way. One day we just decided to walk a different way just for no reason, everywhere we visited it was always going one direction, so we decided to check out another part of barcelona. No directions, no real destination so thats what messed us up lol. Dh kept telling me not to ask anyone for directions when we were lost bc we are 2 americans lost lol but i finally just decided to stop ppl and ask and we found our way after.

great hm, youre gonna have such a great time. Originally we were going to go to Italy and french riviera(monaco) but then dh said he really wants to go to Italy for the first time with his dad to visit his dads house that he grew up in and all that, and i understand that. Really wanted to go but i understood his side. So then we changed it to Spain and Monaco. I would like to go back to Barcelona sometime in the near future. Hopefully we'll get to Italy soon.
