Honeymoon Planning

We decided we'd go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I'm not sure how to start planning our trip. Did you all use a travel agent? If so, would you recommend them?

We booked everything on our own since we are using points/miles/timeshare week for a good deal of the trip.

It's a good idea to price things out on your own to get an idea of what things cost and then compare to what a travel agent would give you.

I highly recommend Leslie from Travel Solutions - a vendor on LIW. Her e-mail is [email protected] . Many LIW brides have worked with her and recommended me to her. She's been wonderful to work with and can work with any budget! I was unsure about going with a TA, but she is so easy to talk with. We ended up being on the phone for 3 hours one time while I baraged her with questions about my HM, it's locale, insurance, costs, etc. She is herself a former LIW bride from a few years back, so she knows how it can be with planning. She answers her e-mails daily and has offices across LI to meet you at if you don't want to do everything through e-mail. She offers free quotes by just asking. She'll get some specifics from you, so she knows what you expect/want and then let you know what she is able to reserve for you.
