My FH and I are having a tough time figuring out where to go on our honeymoon. We want something where there is history, adventure and culture. What do you think about Spain/Italy, Australia or Hawaii? Does anyone have an alternate suggestion? TIA!

We wanted the same idea.... we choose Ireland. I went to Australia for 3 months and would LOOVE to go back! That place is AMAAAAZZZZING!! Do take note that it's a 24 hour flight though. And, there is this BEAUTIFUL resort that's called LONG ISLAND! haha. We made a deal to go back on our 5 year anniversary...at least hoping! HA. So, I guess my vote would be Australia! HAHA

FH and I are going back to Hawaii. However, I've been to both Italy and Spain and I would say that if you're looking for places with plenty of sightseeing and culture that's where you should go. June is a great time of year too. In Spain we went to Madrid, Seville and the Costa del Sol (Marbella) with day trips to Grenada and Toledo.
In Italy we went to Rome, Florence, Venice and Capri with shorter trips to Tuscany, Assisi and Pompei.
def spain and italy...I would LOVe to go to australia but you need more time for that...you loose a couple of days in travel alone and its much more expensive!

100% australia. i went there in July, on a work trip and we didn't really get to see too many sights. it was AMAZING. I LOVED the place. the time difference is definitely a killer. but it was amazing. i want to go back as a tourist and really get to see some more stuff.

I'd do Spain/Italy if you want to see sights etc and have great weather or Hawaii if you want more of a beachy hangout - Australia is opposite of us so if you were a winter bride, I'd say go there because it will be hot but not in June...

I always wanted to go to Australia, but I admit I am scared of it. But if you want adventure, I think thats the place to go. But no where has history like Italy. I wanted to go there but it was important to fh to relax on our honeymoon since he never ever relaxes. So we went with Hawaii, because relaxing is difficult in Italy. I would have him at every church and art museum in the country.

As a global history teacher.. Italy and Spain hands down. Ancient Rome will have much more history and culture than the former island for prisoner (Australia). Of course it is so cool.. but history is in Italy and Spain.
