So, we are going away in August (hurrican season). I was set on Aruba, but yesterday I was looking at Costa Rica and I fell in love. I always wanted to go there. I like adventure type trips and would love to explore the rain forest there, go ziplinning again, ATV, etc. A lot of great adventures.
I feel like Aruba is just relaxing and the beach, which is fun, but I don't know if I want something with more adventure.
I like polls, and hearing your thoughts. Anyone been to both? Anyone been to Costa Rica??

Costa Rica was one of our top choices.... my aunt has been there a few times and loves it!

ARUBA ! we got engaged there and I cannot wait to go back again! We are really considering going back for our honeymoon because we love it so much, but I really wanted to go some place I havent been to for my honeymoon. There are lots of activities to do in Aruba. We did an off road open air jeep excursion. There are soo many to choose from ! The night life is insane and there are soo many restaurants! The beaches are beautiful. Aruba is a great choice !

ARUBA!! i love it....its amazing plus there is also stuff to do...we did an ATV tour there that was sooo much fun!!
plus if ur going in hurricane season Aruba is good bc it doesnt really get affected by hurricanes.

I was on a cruise that stopped in Costa Rica. We did an excursion that took us ziplining and then to a beach for a few hours. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the beach there AT ALL. But, I've heard that it depends which side of Costa Rica you are on - we were on the east side - supposedly the west side is MUCH nicer, and that's where all the vacationers go. Just something to keep in mind when you're doing your research.
I also had the best pineapple I've ever had in Costa Rica... haha.

fh and i spent a week in costa rica in march and i absolutely loved it! i cant wait to go back!!!!
we spent 1 day at a diff beach and ea beach was different and beautiful in its own way. there is SO much to do....zip lining, atv, horse riding, hot springs, jungle hikes, beach, just the driving is fun (no paved roads) anyway i loveddddddddddddddddd it...
we've also been to antigua and turks and caicos....amazing beaches, but very laid back and for us that gets a little boring.... we're more on the go type of travelers

i am a HUGE fan of aruba... i go every year... but I kinda think of the 2 costa rica might seem a little more exotic and a place you might not get to later on, so i voted costa rica! but this could be cause since i go to aruba every year, i think og it as a place you can always go to and less 'different'

it's rain season in costa rica in july so you might want to check into if it's still rainy in august!
aruba is nice and they still have stuff like atvs and stuff like that to do!

ive never been to costa rica so i can't comment on it but i've been to aruba and it is absolutely gorgeous, but im sure you will have an amazing time w/ whatever you go with
