We're getting married on December 23..so everyone knows what that means at the airports if we leave the next day...MASSIVE CROWDS!! What do you guys think we should do? Just deal with the crowds or leave Christmas day? We're both teacher's in training (lol) and that is the week we're off (which is why we picked the 12/23 day) So what do you think? I appreciate it

Re: Honeymoon question
Honestly, I would leave on Christmas...We aren't leaving for our HM til Sunday (getting married on Friday) I feel it will be too rushed to get out the next day...In your case it will be a mess with crowds...Fly when there isn't soo much confusion

Re: Honeymoon question
just so you know traveling on christmas is not that easy - i have done it - getting a limo to the airport is nearly impossible- you will need family members to drive you - also expect long lines at checkin and security becuase of reduced staff and still a lot of passengers traveling
if you don't mind skipping christmas the 24th is the same as the 25th

Re: Honeymoon question
Def wait and go on xmas or the day after. You don't want to deal with the crowds. It's not like it used to be where you had to leave that night or the next day. Hey, my bro and SIL didn't have the $$ when the got married and didn't go on their HM til over a year later. So anything goes!!!

Re: Honeymoon question
I think either day is going to be crazy. I think it's up to you if you want the rush around the day after the wedding or give yourself a day to get everything together before you go.

Re: Honeymoon question
My FH and I ALWAYS travel on Christmas day and the airports are very quiet. Especially if you take a later in the day flight, after 3pm. We usually fly down to visit his parents down in Florida and always pick that day to fly since we don't celebrate Christmas and it's so quiet in the airports!
