FH and I are going on a Norwegian cruise from NY for our honeymoon. We both have never been on a cruise before, so my question is do we have to pay for the food on the boat or is that included? Probably something I should've asked my travel agen but if anybody can answer this question that would be great

its included- but sometimes cruise ships have specialty places to eat that you have to pay extra for.

Hi, we just got back from a 7-day cruise! All the food is included in the price. Only thing you have to pay for is soda and alcohol. We went on Carnival, and a can of soda was about $2 and a beer $5. They include 15% gratuity on everything. Water, juice (apple, orange, etc), coffee and hot chocolate were free. If you get off the ship for excursions, some of them included lunch, which sometimes included soda and dessert. It was so much fun and the food was great. It was our first time, too and we had a great time. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Which ship are you going on? Me and FH went on the Norwegian Spirit out of NY and it was great. Like everyone else said the food is free but I highly reccomend going to some of the specialty restaurants. There is a small fee to eat at them but the food is amazing. We ate at Le Bistro and it was worth every penny. hth and FM me if I can answer any questions for you.

most food is included although some ships have extra places such as ice cream parlors or fancier restaurants that cost extra. but your three basic meals are included

We went on our first cruise last year and it was the best time of our lives!! So I just wanna say Congrats on going on a cruise!!
All the food is included as well as juices, coffee and icecream. Soda and Alchohol are extra $$ though. Carnival has a card that you can purchase at the beginning of the cruise (or when you book) and then you can have unlimited Soda while you are there. I recommend that if you drink a lot of soda.
There's seriously endless free food on a cruise. There's breakfast every morning, and lunch every afternoon, with a lot to choose from! You'll then be scheduled a time for a sit down dinner everyday where you will have some of the best food in your life...but they also have some food counters open 24/7 serving things like pizza, sandwhiches and hotdogs for anytime you might get hungry.
Be prepared to gain some weight! hehe

It's included....usually just not the drinks...which can really add up!! ENJOY!!

yes the drinks can add up.. not sure if this will work fo u but it did for fh and i.. he packed some liquor our favorites.. midori, amaretto, sour mix, vodka, in his suitcase.. and we drank from that.. we still orderded drnks from time to time but having our own little mini bar in the room helped BIG TIME!!

You can also bring wine onboard with you without having to sneak it on. If you bring it into the dining room they will charge you a $15 fee but you can drink it on your balcony when your getting ready for dinner. Just ask your cabin steward to keep your room stocked with wine glasses.
