I started thinking about my honeymoon and due to limited finances we will have to decide....
Would you rather stay in a really nice 5 star hotel all inclusive hotel for fewer nights or stay in a more moderate all inclusive hotel for 7 nights??

Re: Honeymoon Question
I'd have to choose being in a great hotel where I know the service is amazing and we'll be treated like a King and Queen. If that means spending more money per night and staying less nights, I'd probably choose that. I want the quality of our days there to be amazing and I'd rather have quality than quantity any day!

Re: Honeymoon Question
I would have to say I would pick the 5-star hotel all-inclusive for less days and better service.

Re: Honeymoon Question
defiatly go for 5 days.. that two days is not really going to make a difference, and think about it this way... if you do end up at a place that something isnt just how you want it, would you want to stay there for a whole 7 days to deal with it?

Re: Honeymoon Question
Do the 5 star hotel for fewer nights. It's always nice to have to food, service, and pretty room!

Re: Honeymoon Question
If the moderate, all inclusive hotel is nice enough, I would go with that...you can always upgrade after you go on vacations after you're married...I think it's always good to have something to look forward to anyway...and i'd want to be on my honeymoon for as long as possible!

Re: Honeymoon Question
oooh toughie! i would probably do the 7 day because i feel like all inclusive hotels are pretty much the same.... but look at tripadvisor.com they are great for reviews! i also feel like your honeymoon will fly by no matter if it's 3 days or 3 weeks! i would try to get as much out of it as i could... and the most important thing is that you're there with your new husband away from everything!

Re: Honeymoon Question
thats tough...i mean...the more days stay is better..and if it is less money...comon...and at the same time..you dont really stay everyday for your wedding/hm...in 5 star hotel..so why not..its all up to u!!! i would look at the reviews of the lower star hotel just to see how it is

Re: Honeymoon Question
It depends...how much is 'fewer'. The minimum for me is 5 days/ 4nights...Also, something to think about, does the nicer hotel have more activities than the less expensive one?

Re: Honeymoon Question
I'd say stay longer at a still nice but not 5 star place. People say you should really do it up for your honeymoon but it's not like you'll never go on vacation ever again...

Re: Honeymoon Question
i would go for 7 days instead.... you should really go through priceline and choose 'resort' .... i forget what site it is, but theres one out there that tells you what people have been bidding and winning .... also says which hotels are included in the 'resort' category (as it does all other categories) the hotel we stayed in in san juan was gorgeous, we bought through priceline for 125 a night and it was a resort!

Re: Honeymoon Question
Thanks.
I like Priceline too but they don't do all inclusives. The website you're thinking of is biddingfortravel.com.

Re: Honeymoon Question
Yea I would do the better room for less time. I mean you are probably going to spend more time in the room than anything else

I would do the seven days. I just love the sun and can't get enough of it.

Re: Honeymoon Question
I would definitly do the 7 days. I would want to stay as long as possible. We are thinking of the Dominican Republic for our HM also. I was looking at Excellence Punta Cana and it looks beautiful and affordable! You should check it out.

Re: Honeymoon Question
I agree with Gail. 7 days and stay in a less expensive place. You really don't spend that much time in the room anyway
