Honeymoon Question
How far ahead should you typically book your honeymoon? If you book it through a travel agent can you pay it off in installments?

I'm getting married in 8 months and I just booked my honeymoon. i think it was even considered a bit early b/c the airfaire wasn't out yet! I booked it with a liberty travel and they just wanted a down payment and then you can pay them in installments if you like!
I just booked and I have 6 months to go. They told me I can pay as I go or just make sure I pay the balance 45 days before. They did say they will keep checking to see if there is a sale on the plane tickets. If they go on sale, they will buy them then.
I have been trying to get prices and possible book my honeymoon for a 10/3/04 wedding. All the travel agents I talk to tell me that they can take a deposit but not guarantee me a price on airfare or resort until late Oct of this year. Hope this information helps.
I booked in July and I am making payments. the balance has to be paid in full by April. I also booked through a travel agency.
I just booked our honeymoon to Sandals in St.Lucia and I am getting married in Nov, 2004. They told me that they hold the price and I just had to give them $300. The airfare comes out in Jan but they buy it in bulk so it will be cheap. I can't wait!!
i'm getting married 9/6/04 (1 year from today) and i just booked my honeymoon last night.. 10 nights 11 days, (3 nights in puerto rico, then a cruise from san juan to st lucia, st thomas, st maarten, antigua and barbados) YEAH i cannot wait
We booked it this past june and we are getting married 5/30/04. We used a travel agent and when we were looking we found out that the hotels we wanted were booking fast, and one was out of the question. We are going to Hawaii. I guess it depends where you are going. I would call the hotels and see how many rooms they have avaible for the time you want to go and go from there.
I didn't know you could pay a travel agent in installments. Thanks for that info!
