Originally we were going to Tahiti, Bora Bora. I always wanted to go there. Now we decided that it will be too much money (we were going to spend $10K) which is too much.... the flight is about 15-20 hours.. I am scared to fly so we decided on somewhere closer...
we are thinking of Mexico or St. Bart's....any recommendations??

St. Barts is beautiful!!! I'm also going to St. Thomas this weekend, i'll give a report next week.

Hey! I've heard that St. Barths is beautiful and Anguilla (which is a ferry ride away i think) is also gorgeous... especially the Cap Juluca resort.
If you really want to do Tahiti/Bora Bora you can!! We are going for 10 days and we got a great package for $7,500 which includes non-stop air from NY. The flight is 12 1/2 hrs. We are going to Tahiti for 1 night, Moorea for 4 and Bora Bora for 4 and staying at the pearl resorts (OWB in bora bora for the last 2 nights). We've done a ton of research so let me know if you want details.

I have this problem too. We were going to do the typical Hawaii honeymoon with a stop over in Vegas. But my Fiance is terrified of flying not to mention, the $10K price tag for the trip was too much. Now I'm stuck looking for another option too.
My step sister and a few other friends swear by St. Lucia. My boss says Turks & Caicos is great too. Then there's the staples: Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Bermuda, Jamaica (I've been to Bermuda - it's gorgeous!).
Is there a honeymoon thread on here?

I say any of the Sandals resorts in St. Lucia.. Thats where Im going, and from what I heard, its AMAZING.... not to mention ALL INCLUSIVE, so how could you go wrong???

i am going to Cabo for my honeymoon. We originally wanted greece or italy, but it was too much for us to spend. We are doing 8 night in cabo for $3000 at the Melia. this does not include food though. We also did all inclusive in Turks for about $900 each in September. The resort has since closed. But others are nice there.
