What do you think of honeymoon registries? I think that the place we are booking the HM through offers this. FH seems ify on the idea, he thinks its like asking for money. My feeling is, we put it with the other registries, and if someone gives towards it, great, and if they don't, then they don't.

Re: honeymoon registry
We were originally going to do this until...well...I realized it was just too much work and the site we were going through took 10%. We've both lived on our own for years and felt we didn't need to do the traditional registry...but we actually did. It's surprising how many things you can upgrade, etc.
Oh...we were going to use The Big Day.com

Re: honeymoon registry
We love the idea of a HM registry. We booked our HM through Liberty Travel and they have a free HM registry. Someone already 'purchased' a gift from the registry for my birthday last month.

Re: honeymoon registry
I think as long there are zero charges, ie they don't take out a percentage for commision, etc - then go for it. I would not be comfortable with the idea otherwise. I would want to be sure, if someone was generous enough to contribute to the honeymoon, that their gift would be going directly to me - and not to someone else.

Re: honeymoon registry
I spoke to the lady from Liberty Travel at the show over the weekend. I think this is a good idea. Hey anything extra always helps!
