My FH and I are thinking about doing this because we have lived together for 2 years and have everything.
Has anyone had any experience with a honeymoon registry? Liked it? Hated it? How did you figure out where to go? What website did you use?
I looked around but I wasn't really understanding how they work. Blonde moment...

Re: honeymoon registry...
Me too! I was thinking of doing this, but my mom is not a big fan at all. I think it's such a great idea because it's stuff you will actually use and love!

Re: honeymoon registry...
I did this for my registry and FH & I love it
You signed up for it on honeymoonwishes.com and depends on where you go, there's excursion and restaurants for the trips (for example we're going on a cruise so honeymoon wishes pick out for us the excursion that are available for the cruise trip). After signing up for it, you can print out announcement cards to send it to your friends & family. They pick out a gift and send it to honeymoonwishes.com.
You can either make the fund that your family & friends to you send directly to you through your bank account or by check or paypal. Every time someone buy you a gift, honeymoonwishes.com send you an email to let you know. You can ask for the fund as soon as it become available. If you don't ask for it then they send it to you a week before you go on the honeymoon.
The only negative thing I can say about this is there's a 7% fee for the guests that have to pay every time they purchase a gift for you but otherwise it's great. We received a lot of gifts from here !

Re: honeymoon registry...
There is a free one called honeyfund.com. People can pay you with cash, check, or Paypal.
FH and I did half and half (maybe a bit more like 60/40 leaning towards HM one) so that people had a choice.
We are in the same type situation where we have a lot of stuff already. We BOTH lived on our own before we moved in together so we REALLY don't need basics- so I registered for home things that were more on the 'luxuries' side.
I would say it's a good idea doing 2 registries even if you only have a few things on the regular one b/c while most of the people thought our HM registry was awesome, there were some people who REALLY didn't like it and this gave them an option so they really couldn't complain.
