We are registered on a site called Traveler's Joy -- we found out about it from a friend of ours who got married last year.

Basically, you create a registry however you'd like. Their tools are very easy to use, and you can upload pictures for every 'item' you want to 'receive' for your honeymoon trip. For example, we are going to 3 cities in France, and I have items such as:

- bike tour of paris
- tickets to the eiffel tower
- picnic lunch in the alps
- kayaking trip in nimes
- bottle of french wine
- cheese!
etc

You make up the prices and you write the descriptions.

The company takes a cut of the amount people give you -- I think it's 7% (which is less than a lot of similar registry sites). They will either wire you the money or send you a check for the total amount minus their fees whenever you request it.

So, really, it's like you're getting cash. But your guests and friends can feel like a part of your honeymoon since they are engaged in seeing what you'll be doing, hearing about your adventures, and 'purchasing' portions of your honeymoon for you to enjoy.

We loved the idea of 'bringing our friends and family' along on our honeymoon, and since we have so much already (we're combining households), it was a great solution! We have gotten so much great feedback from friends and family who are so excited about our trip!

If you want to see our actual registry, FM me and I'd be happy to send you the link.

HTH!

I did a honeymoon registry on honeyluna.com

You really get to make up your own excursions and you set the price for what you want...then the website cuts you a check two weeks before your honeymoon date for the total amount you have received (less their commission of like 10%). People kept saying how great and unique they thought it was and my husband and I made sure we used that money to pay for our honeymoon excursions.....Feel free to FM me if you have any other questions since I rarely go on here. Good luck!
