Honeymoon registry

Honeymoon registry

The FH and I are talking more and more about doing a regular (but small) registry @ Bed Bath & Beyond & Macys, and also doing a honeymoon registry for Hawaii. Is anyone else doing this? Any ideas how to go about this?!

TIA

We got our HM registry at HoneymoonWishes.com

your guests are charged a small fee for 'buying' a gift ... or you can have it come right out of their gift.

The site doesn't actually book anything for you - you just get a check right before your wedding for whatever amount was given to you.

We are using Travelers Joy. It's been great so far. FM me if you want the link to ours so you can get some ideas

Yeah Im using Travelersjoy also, they dont charge your guest a fee, but they will take a % from what the guest gives you. Which I think is better because your guest doesnt want to see they are being charged to give you a gift.

Re: Honeymoon registry

Hmm I see.. so mostly are you girls using a honeymoon registry as gifts you would get for your shower/engagement party?

If you want to see our HM registry, FM me and I'll send you the link.

We did ours on travelersjoy.com and it worked out great. It's totally personalizable but looks totally professional. Friends and family pay with credit cards and they receive confirmation in the same way as if they'd purchased items from a store for us, and at the end we got a check for the full amount.

Sort of. I'm using TravelersJoy as well, from the recommendations of a few ladies on here. It was super simple to set up and we don't even have the honeymoon booked yet.

Most of my & FH's family lives out of state, so I won't be having a large shower, or possibly none at all. So this is a good way for them to send a gift if they want.

We also have both been living on our own for several years and have a house full of stuff too. So we'll be making a small registry for people who want to purchase something to bring to the shower.

We are doing ours through our travel agent at Liberty Travel.

Re: Honeymoon registry

Does Liberty Travel either charge guests an extra fee or do they take a % out of the total, like other sites?

Re: Honeymoon registry

Sure I'd like to see the shower idea link.

Thanks!

We're using The Honeymoon (www.thehoneymoon.com) because we've had several friends use them over the years. They've been around a long time and have proven to be very reliable, which is pretty important considering what they do.

We're doing this as well and LOVE this registry site. The fee they charge is less than a tax if your guests were to buy a gift online or in the store, its minimal. A lot of big travel agencies use them as well.

I was thinking about this but I don't like the idea of charging someone a fee to give a gift.

Re: Honeymoon registry

In order to do the registry with Liberty Travel you have to book your HM with a $100 deposit. They dont take out any money and all of it goes right to your HM.

Re: Honeymoon registry

We registered at the Macy's and Bed bath and beyond, but we are also doing a honeymoon registry at thehoneymoon.com. It gives guests many different options. Plus, we already have a lot of the household items we need, so the traditional registries wont be long.
