Honeymoon-Sandals Grande St. Lucia
Hello All:
We recently just spent our first part of our honeymoon at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. I feel the need to inform future honeymoons DO NOT GO HERE!! We ended our honeymoon at Anse Chastanet & Jade Mountain, which were absolutely magical & I highly recommend. Here is the breakdown on Sandals....
First off, They did not have the honeymoon set up for us when we arrived in our room, which I know my travel agent sent them the information. The rooms are very small, unlike the pictures (they must have the best photographer in the world)! We were with friends that had to change room FOUR (that's right...FOUR TIMES) due to bug issues. We had to change our room once when there was bugs crawling all over my make-up bag, toothbrush, etc. For the amount of money Sandals charges, this shouldn't even be an issue.
Customer Service: The people at the front desk are extremely rude. It's almost like you are the problem with you come to them with an issue. We would get back to our room at 4PM & our bed would still be unmade. The restaurant & bar staff were nice, but I believe they would have provided better service if tips were able to be given.
I booked excursions through Sandals before we left over the telephone with confirmation numbers. I went to the excursion desk to change one excursion we booked & they didn't even have our reservation!!! THEY TOOK THE MONEY FROM OUR ACCOUNT!!! Thank God I'm organized and had all the information.
There is no entertainment at night, so if you are looking to see a show or dance a little...don't count on it!
Excursions: We had a wonderful time in St. Lucia on our excursions. The island is absolutely breath taking!
We had a wonderful vacation aside from the headaches Sandals gave us. IF you are looking for a romantic honeymoon with your loved one, this is not the place!! It's like the Carnival of resorts.
**I'm not the kind of person that generally complains. I've been on tons of vacations to Europe & the islands & never had a complaint about any of them. Sandals just really upset me, I was so prepared for luxury & romance....and Sandals sadly doesn't provide any of this!!!
