Honeymoon Scuba Diving

Did anyone do this or plan on doing this? We just became ceritified and I am curious as to what equipment we need to bring with us vs. what we can rent.

We went scuba diving on our honeymoon. You can rent all your equipment if you don't want to bring anything. But if you have a difficult size or require special equipment then you should probably bring it. We brought our own mask, fin and snorkel and rented everything else (wet suit, tanks, BC, weight belt, regulators).

Looks like you just went - congratulations on being a MRS. Where did you go on your honeymoon? We are going to St. Lucia and I'm not sure if I should wear my own wetsuit or if I will be too hot. also I'm concerned about packing the equipment - We will bring our own basics but rent the BC, regulators and tank - although Sandels is all-inclusive, do you know if the rentals are included?

Thanks . We went to Tahiti - we dived in Bora Bora and in Huahine - it was fantastic. The Carribean in August should be pretty hot and you probably would not need a wetsuit unless you go deeper in the water maybe. I went to the Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos in September a couple years ago and did not need a wetsuit - but I didn't go too deep (I was not certified yet and it was a resort course). This was an all inclusive and all the equipment was included. You could probably call/email the Sandals dive shop and ask them about the rentals and if you need your wetsuit.

Kim- FI and I went to Sandals St Lucia in March. We don't scuba, but snorkel. They took us all out on the same boat. I am almost certain that the scuba equipment was included with Sandals. We had a great time there and the water was beautiful. Have a wonderful time!
