Honeymoon Shower

Honeymoon Shower

So my sister wants to throw me and FH a honeymoon shower instead of a bridal shower. We already have a house and have everything we need. However, we were going to wait until Jan to go on our honeymoon cause we cant afford it as of right now. So she said instead of everyone getting gifts for stuff we dont need she wants to see if everyone will chip in for a honeymoon for us. My Mom doesnt think this is a good idea cause people will feel like they have to give money at a shower and a wedding! I dont think it matters. I love the idea! Has anyone ever heard of this before?

I think that's a great idea! Check out honeymoonwishes.com. You can register for specific things for your honeymoon there. For example, someone may buy you a massage and then they can wrap up a robe to go with it. Cute stuff like that.

I know there are websites where you can register for your HM. You and FH go on and pick out certain activities that you want to do and restaurants that you'd like to eat at while you're away. Then your guests log on and pay for things for you, this way they're giving you a gift without just giving you money and you're not getting stuck with things that you don't need.

i've been hearing about people doing a 'honeymoon registry' for their showers, but haven't been to a shower where that was done yet. maybe you could do both- register for a few things for your home to keep people happy & then also create a HM registry for people to chip into.
