Do you think there is a price difference if you tell the travel agent it's just a vacation as opposed to a honeymoon?
Has anyone tested this out?

Re: Honeymoon vs. Vacation
I think there is.. I would like to test it- I mean once we get to the hotel, we can tell them we are on our honeymoon and maybe they will give us an upgrade..
Good question-

anything wedding related is expensive, so i don't see why this would be any different...good question.

I never did actually when we were pricing our honeymoon - when we told them it was a honeymoon we got better packages! We tried it both ways.

actually gals it is just the opposite - while you never tell anyone you are looking for a wedding for vendors you definately want everyone to know when you are planning the honeymoon - cause it can get you all kinds of upgrades and perks - i was a travel agent for years and hotels and especially cruiselines love to give stuff to newlyweds- so be sure to tell the travel agent so she/he will note it on your reservations-

It worked even on a second honeymoon. Same island (Bermuda)... same hotel... 30 years later. Champagne and cheese platter were sent up to to out room with a beautiful note welcoming us back. Definitely let everyone know. I've heard of airlines upgrading seats as well, at the last minute.
