Did anyone wait to go on their honeymoon a week or so?
We are going to have family from Poland & we think its rude to leave the day after the wedding & leave our guests behind.
Did anyone have this problem?

I am going three days after the wedding. I wanted some time to get last minute things done before leaving. If I needed to return rentals, or mail thank yous, or PACK! I just hope 3 days is enough.!

I might be because we would like to take a cruise somewhere, and it depends on what day the cruise is leaving.

We might not go until the summertime which would be a few months after. We're deciding between europe (the meditteranean) and south america. If we decide on Europe we'll wait until the summer since the weather will be better over there.

Our friends are doing that b/c she is a teacher and will wait until winter break, nothing wrong with that at all.
To be honest we didnt book our's yet and we will try and get the best deal and if that means waiting a week then we will.

I am going away a few days after the wedding for a mini trip then we are going away a few months after that on a bigger trip that will be our honeymoon.

We're waiting a week. I'm a teacher, so I have to wait the week for spring recess. I actually prefer it because it's less rushed. And since we don't live together yet, it will give us some time to settle in first before we leave.

We are going starting July 3rd which is a couple months after the wedding because school doesn't end until June and I can't take off.

my friend actually recommended not leaving right away. I'm leaving 3 or 4 days after. I think it's fine especially since you want to spend time with the fam!

We will wait a minimum of 2 or 3 days, just to re-coup so that when we're fully relaxed and unwind when we get to our honeymoon.

God Willing, I will be going on my HM 3 months after my wedding bec FH is a teacher so he finishes the end of June, but I dont mind bec I will be away for the whole summer

We're going a few days after the wedding because we want to be able to say goodbye to our families in New York and Pennsylvania before going to Jamaica then California.

I think I'd like to spend extra time with the family before I leave too! I don't think there is a problem as long as vacation time from work doesn't interfere.
