Well.... I'll be starting physician assisting school like 5 days post wedding and it continues for 2 years straight. So FH and i are putting off honeymoon till I finish school and we are planning on taking a month honeymoon in Tahiti.... I think a month would be better for us anyway!!!

Bora Bora can be very expensive...the cost of hotels and food adds up very quickly. Lots of brides split their trip to French Polynesia by going to two islands, such as staying on Bora Bora for half of the trip and Moorea for the other half (still can be pricey but it's a lot less expensive than Bora Bora). This could be something to look into because it may be more affordable than staying in Bora Bora the whole time.
Another option is to go on a Paul Gauguin cruise. It is a small luxury cruise line (only holds about 300 people) and it cruises around the French Polynesian islands. It is all inclusive and includes food, alcohol drinks, some activities, and a day room at a hotel in Tahiti while you are waiting for your flight after the ship disembarks. Also, flights to Tahiti can be VERY expensive, and the cruiseline frequently runs promotions which either include round trip flights from LA or two-for-one flights from LA (depending on how long the cruise is). Therefore, it is possible (depending on the length of the cruise) that you would only have to pay for the flight from NY to LA, which wouldn't be too expensive. The prices for the cruise are pretty reasonable considering all food and drinks are included. This is probably what FH and I are going to do because we don't think we could afford French Polynesia otherwise. We would love to also have the overwater bungalow experience so we are probably going to do a 2 or 3 night pre-cruise stay in an overwater bungalow in Moorea.
