Can you please tell me who is paying for your honeymoon? Different books have different info on who should be paying.

any book that suggest anyone other than 'yourselves' should be paying for your wedding/honeymoon/reception is out dated. These days, most people aren't entitled to have anything paid for by anyone other then themselves.

We're paying for it. I've heard the traditional way is that the groom's parents pay..but I've never actually heard of anyone who followed that tradition.

hopefully, we'll be getting my aunt and uncle's time share...but other than that, we'll be paying for airfare and spending/eating money..etc etc

My FH and I are paying for it. We plan on saving for sure but also using some money from our wedding.
Don't stress about...it would be nice though if someone else did pay...

We're paying for our honeymoon. The fact that our parents are helping out with the wedding frees up some money for a vacation!

I put groom alone, but that's really just b/c he has the money and I make crap. Obviously once we are married it will be 'our money,' but he paid the deposits and stuff out of his bank account (he makes more than twice what I make...sad for me)....not b/c of any tradition, just b/c that's what worked!

traditionally its the groom who pays for the honeymoon. FH and I are going on 2 honeymoons. lol
right after the wedding we are going to disney. FFIL is letting us use his timeshare and FMIL got us 1st class flights to and from. My parents are getting the park tickets.
then july 09 we are going to europe for a 3 wks to a month and we are paying for that

We are paying for most of it. FH's parents told us that they would give us a $5k gift for the wedding (they arent paying for anything!) So we decided to put that toward our Tahiti honeymoon.

well FH and I plan on paying for it and i think we should. FH said his dad offered to pay for it but I dont feel its necessary my parents and FH parents are paying for the wedding so I feel like we should at least pay for our honeymoon. We have alot of time to decide the wedding is in nov 2009 and we prob wont be taking our full honeymoon till the summer being that I am a teacher and wouldnt be able to take enough time off of work to do anything really worth while.
