We booked the Excellence Playa Mujeres too with rooftop lounge and pool. Can't wait.!! Do you know anyone who stayed there? Any reviews?

yea we originally always talked about going to spain.. but the euro is gross. we also think we would rather save that trip for when we want to be active.. for our honeymoon i want to sit my butt somewhere with a miami vice !
i went to spain for my HM and even with the euro, spain is VERY affordable. The prices were the same as nyc, infact in someways even better. We would go out to eat and something that costs about $8 here would cost about $3 euros there so came out almost even. We would go out to dinner, get a bunch of tapas, we really pigged out, had lots of drinks and our dinners would come out to about $30-40 euro all the time. And keep in mind this was with alot of drinks so if you dont have drinks it would be even less. For lunch, Dh one day got this huge platter of eggs, with toast, frenchfries, i also think sausage or ham and it was $4 euro. We spent ALOT less than we thought we would in spain. Compared to the rest of europe its extremely affordable. We went to france right after and WOW what a huge difference, in france it was $7 euro just for a cup of coffee, and just a small regular cup

What criteria are you guys using to select where you are going? FH and I have nooo clue. All I know is that we need to go someplace that doesn't have too much going on because I will need to see it all.

I am probably going to Punta Cana, but I am going to Dreams in Mexico in May 09 for a wedding. My sister went there last year and she didn't want to leave.
