Fh and I are going to Hawaii, i went with a family I use to work for and it is incredible, plus you dont need your passport or to change currency and I like that I dont have to worry about those things while worrying about everything else.

That's a great idea. We're not sure where we are going yet. I would love to go to Turks and Caicos but it might be out of our budget. I'm thinking maybe St. Lucia or DR.

Re: Honeymoons
I think on our honeymoon we are taking my son to Florida with us and go to Universal and Sea Word and Busch Gardens. We are going to Jamaica next March so thats plenty of romantic time alone plus we have traveled alone quite a few times already. We wanna take him with us because it would be our first family vaca! To us it would be extra special to do it all together.

My best friend did exactly this when she got married. Their son was almost 3, so they went down to Disney for 2 days right after their wedding by themselves, and on the 3rd day their son joined them. It was so cute! They even bought him a shirt that said 'I'm on my honeymoon!'

Re: Honeymoons
we are almost 100% going to Belize.
FH wants to go check out all the caves there so I have to stop watching all these horror movies where they go into a cave and then some big rock closes their exit and then they find zombies living down there before I psych myself out

We wanted to do Hawaii, but it seems like the flights there are sooooo expensive. Has anyone priced out what it is NY to Hawaii?
We are thinking Costa Rica. FH and I have fallen in love with the idea of a relatively serene ecoresort - one totally immense in nature whether villas over water, or mountain villas. Plus it would have to have some great outdoor, adventure like activity.
Haven seen website for any in Hawaii that are attractive.

Re: Honeymoons
Our HM won't be until at least December after our wedding (we're both teachers) so whatever we do, I want it to be amazing so it's worth the wait.
Ideally, an amazing island with all amenities and activities included would be fantastic. Then again, we always talk about going to Germany or back to London.
When is the best time to start planning all of this stuff?? I feel like whenever I look online it says plans can't be made more than a year in advance

I'm the teacher but this is what we are doing too! FH wasn't thrilled, but as I explained to him - I get 2 full weeks off for Christmas next year, so we can go anytime for whatever length during that time! Can't wait!

Re: Honeymoons
We have talked about Hawaii for our honeymoon since we got together so it's a no brainer! We are probably going to use some airline points to go to LA and then take a direct flight to hawaii.
