I am doing research for my friend who really wanted to go to Tahiti, but it was way over her budget. I need ideas of honeymoons for under $5000 for everything. Thanks!!

Well, ours isn't anything to crazy or different, but covers everything from fun to romance! We're doing Las Vegas (Bellagio) and San Francisco (Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf) with day trip to Napa/Sonoma Valley's. It's all about 3000 with the hotels and flights....

How long did she want to be away for? What time of year?
If summer, a cruise to Bermuda for 7 nights can be done for $2000! You could do most cruise destinations with airfare for under $5000. Certainly the Caribbean/Mexico.
Aruba/Bermuda flights and a week in hotels would certainly be doable.
Couples Resort/Swept Away Negril is an all inclusive I've heard good things about that would fit the budget as well...

We are going to Zihuatanejo in Mexico- it's where they go at the end of the Shawshank Redemption. Our flight was $1600 and our hotel $1200 for a week.. and we have a suite.

Nina you can do Tahiti for under $5,000 if you don't stay in OverWater Bungalows the entire time. We did it. We stayed in a regular hotel room in Tahit, Beach bungalow in Moorea and OW in Bora Bora. We had some problems along the way with some of our reservations and wound up in top hotels and incurred no additional costs. FM me if you want more info.

We went to Disney World. It was very cheap. We stayed at Port Orleans-Riverside for 10 days and it cost 2,500.

You can do a lot for under $5K. Pretty much any city in Europe is doable for less than $5K if you stay a week.
