Ive heard if its a religious ceremony-chruch or other...its honour, if its at your hall or outside its honor...I think

Re: Honor or Honour?
Honour is the british spelling. I don't think it implies any extra formality.
You are supposed to use honor if the ceremony is in a church, 'pleasure of your company' or 'cordially invite' if it's not.

Re: Honor or Honour?
I used honour, only because that's how I saw it spelled on every invitation website I went to!!! I don't think our guests will really care how it's spelled!!

Re: Honor or Honour?
I typed honour into a word document and it underlined it in red.... meaning it was misspelled. The suggestion from word was Honor.

Bride's magazine this month says Honour. Microsoft Word is set for American English, so ignore it.

Ah, formality...never a logical thing! Honestly, I bet very few people would even notice how it's spelled, and fewer (if any) would care, so I would do what you want!

I don't like the way 'honour' looks with the added 'u'. I'm not British so I'm not using it.
Honor all the way!!!!!
