honor vs. honour

honor vs. honour

I'm doing my 'will you be my' cards (FINALLY) and I'm stuck... I did one already and wrote:

Will you do us the honoUr of being a Bridesmaid in our wedding?

What should I write for the MOH? Is it Matron of HonoUr, too??

I wish I never used the U in the first one... I don't even know if I'm using it correctly........

No U...that's only in the invitation if you are getting married in a house of worship.

We are getting married in a church and there's no way I'm spelling it with a u.

You aren't british. (I mean unless you are?)

Spell it correctly.

I guess the only way it wouldn't make me gag is if you are getting married in some super posh space.

But regardless.

It's spelled h-o-n-o-r. For me that's the end of the story.

I don't like to spell words weird like that... With a U. I'd leave it out... Jmo. Don't think it would make a big difference anyways..

I spelled it on my invites with the 'u' and I happen to really like it

If this were a 2011'er asking this question (because I know them better, and they, me) this is EXACTLY what I would have posted. Well said. The first thing I thought was 'You're not British!' LOL
