honoring mom

honoring mom

I need some help here. I'd like to find a way honor my mom at the wedding. I do not want her to walk down the aisle with me, as I feel that is a special time for my dad, and I do not want to take that away from him. Any ideas? What can I do to publicly acknowledge how special she is and how much I appreciate her??

My mom is not walking me either. My mom says her joy will be to see my dad walk me.
Maybe stop & give her a kiss right before you get to FH?

Or you can write something and say it at your reception I think it will be a very special moment no matter what you decide

I've seen a rose ceremony done before. Its where the officiant talks about how each of you has come from a strong, nurturing family and you should be thankful for that.....

And then together, as a couple, the bride and groom present each mother with a rose.

I know it doesn't honor your mom specifically, but it was very touching.

My mom did a reading at my ceremony. I thought it was a nice way to say how much she meant to me.

you could right something to say at the reception and dedicate your bouquet to her instead of tossing it or if you are having programs write a little special thank you to her somewhere in there, I'm just giving you these ideas they're not really good but I have to say I really love the kiss idea...that's so sweet!

I'm having my florist insert her favorite flower into my bouquet and when dad and I get to the alter I will present mom with the flower and give her a kiss on the cheek..
