Hoop or Petticoat and why?

I was planning on doing petticoat- but then I saw Augustbridein09's pics! Thats how BIG I want my dress, so maybe a hoop could work! She said she had no problem sitting.

I didn't realize that was a hoop skirt. I've tried both and had no problem sitting in either, but just can't decide which will give the bigger POOF!! lol.

By the way, do you purchase it or is it suppose to come w/ the dress?

you purchase it separately....and I have found it be pretty hard to find salons/stores that carry them! I plan on using the same place as Natalie

I had a hoop. It was comfy and I had no issues sitting in it at all. I actually found it great to dance in as well b/c my legs could move around freely. You can see my pics in my albums/review.

looking at ur dress made me go right out and buy a hoop.....i bought a 6 hoop petticoat for $27 inc shipping off ebay

after i get it im immediately trying it on w/ my dress (im so excited just to try my dress on again haha)

Yep......I have pics at the bridal shop with a smaller hoop and I could totally see the difference.

if you wanted it to be SUPER large, just keep in mind that using a petticoat to make it that large... could get heavy.. and adding that to the weight the the dress already... it could really weight you down. just something to think about.

i think you could get it larger and lighter with a hoop.

i dont think the hoops are as bad as they used to be in the 80's .....it seems like everyone that used one was able to sit fine....
