Hopefully crossing flowers & hotel off the list...

We got a few things done yesterday...

First we went to see Laurie with LA Blossom about our flowers. I LOVE HER!! She is so awesome and showed us such great photos of her work. Now, we are just waiting for her to write up the bill and email it with the pricing. Hopefully, it is good because we really liked her. She is so creative!

Then, we went to Chateau La Mer. I love being there so much that I didn't even mind writing a check for our third payment

Last, we went to the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, that is by the Airport over there in Huntington. The hotel just openned on Thursday and it is so nice!! They also provide complimentary shuttles to CLM if you block rooms, so that is a definite plus, considering we are blocking 30!! I'm waiting for their pricing too though. Hopefully reasonable prices. They can also rent out the bar for after the wedding, which we are really excited about.

We are doing the same thing with the shuttle and afterparty at a hotel...are you going to explain in the invite that guests can leave their car at the hotel, take shuttle to RH then shuttle back? I feel as if this is a lot of coordinating...what are your thoughts?

I blocked there! The prices are reasonable, not the best but reasonable. And the fact that they have the shuttle makes it SOOOOOO worth it!

I got cards from the Marriott with the code and directions. I am putting a sticker on stating there will be a shuttle. If they choose to use it, great. If not, oh well. My guests are all out of towners so I am sure it'll be a hit!

The sticker sounds like a great idea. I would write something like 'transportation will be provided to a from the reception'

It says it is 6 miles from CLM. IT took us about 15 minutes to drive from CLM to the hotel. I'll FM you all thie info

HAHA, i wanted to ask what they were building but I forgot once i was inside. then, we were leaving and i was like, dam, i forgot. oh well, i'm so nosy.
The number I have is (631) 847-0010. I talked to Shani Faure, a sales coordinator.
We saw the rooms, they are really nice. But they just openned on Thursday, so I would hope they would be nice.
The suite was pretty expensive though, and she said they don't give a discount or anything but they give complimentary champagne and strawberries...oh how nice of them
