When do you actually dance the Hora during the ceremony?? I have no idea and neither does FH

immediately - i think it's one of the first things done. not sure - we are not doing it - i hate it. but it's def. early on.

I love the Hora!! We're doing it at the reception right after we're introduced, the band will just sort of go into it. Then we'll have our first dance together.

We did our first dance and then the band went immediately into a 25 minute long Hora.

You dance it during the RECEPTION. I like when it's done right at the begining of the party, because it really gets everyone up and dancing. My FH's (non-Jewish) family had me lead them in a practice hora at their family Christmas party so they would know what to do at the wedding.

I think at leslie's wedding they had their first dance and then they did it...

Thats so cute they had you lead them in a practice! We're doing the Hora and then going into the Tarantella - getting both our cultures in there. I didn't know when to do that either.

We had our first dance then did the hora. Everyone, and I mean everyone, got up for the hora!!!!

I LOVE the hora - but half the wedding will be Italian - so do we need to do the Tarantula too?

I went to a wedding where they did the Hora after the first dance and then the Tarantella after the cake cutting. It did get people back up onto the dance floor for sure!

Some people dance the hora right after you're introducted while others wait. You control this on some level so work it out with your DJ,
