Horrible and frightening experience

Well... I haven't been on in a while and I think coming online earlier probably would have helped. About a week ago on my way to work , there was a major back up. It was like a day or two after that big snow storm. I found out later on it was because of an accident up ahead. Anyway, this guy comes driving up next to me on the shoulder and gets stopped by a mound of snow in front of him. I was stopped and could not go because there was a car in front of me. All of the sudden he starts beeping for me to move. But there was no where to go. All the suddent, he rolls down his window points a gun at me and says MOVE YOU F***ING B**** MOVE. I was so terrified. I thought he was going to shot me. I don't know if he had just committed a crime or something but he was crazy. Luckily for me the car in front of me moved up and I turned down a one way street the wrong way to get away from him. Unfortuntately I did't see the make or model of the car because he was next to me and as soon as that car in front of me moved I just wanted to get as far from him as possible. I am sure he just wanted to scare me and get me to move...Well...he succeeded. The worst part is now I have horrible nightmares. I was a horrible experience that I would not wish on anyone. Thanks for listening girls. I just wanted to get it out. Hopefully it will get easier and easier to go to sleep.

Oh, that is horrible! There are so many freaks out there. But I am glad he did not hurt you. I hope you feel better

OMG honey I am so sorry that happened to you!!! You might want to visit a hypnotherapist or just a reg therapist to try and work that out. It might help with the nightmares. I hope you can find some peace again soon. I will send positive energy your way!

I think about you often. I'm so impressed by you and your partner getting married and being open. It rules. I hope that laws change soon!

I am so sorry that happened to you! If it's any consolation, you did the right thing by getting away from him quickly. If you remember any details about what he looked like, I would report it to the police. They probably won't do much but take a report but it may give you piece of mind.

I am so sorry about your nightmares. I hope that you are talking about this and make sure that your friends and family make you feel safe.

OMG ...That is insane...I am so sorry you had to experience that. I can't imagine what that felt like to feel like your life may be in severe danger...I am glad you are OK, and I hope that you are capable of getting sleep....

holy crap! I was just watching the news the other day & they were saying how LI is no longer the safe little place we all thought with major gangs that have moved into both Nassua & Suffolk county...glad to hear you are OK..and sorry you had to experience that!!!! You may want to go talk to a counselor just to get it all out..you said you work in a school..so they probably have a psychologist in staff right?

Well now for the happy stuff...CONGRATS! on becoming domestic partners!!!! yeahhh...i am all in favor of legal marriage for you guys..hopefully soon!!!!!!

OMG!!! I am so sorry!! I also feel you did the right thing I would have done the same thing!! This Island is becoming really bad like another poster said and I cant wait to take my kids and leave I am so scared for them I work @ a restaurant and the trash I deal with compared to 10yrs ago is so different I get spit on ,threatened, called every name in the book, I get things thrown at me it is so sad! I am so happy you are ok though!! And I hope what goes around comes around for this person!!

honestly, you should try seeking some sort of counselor or therapist who might be able to help you work through this...

that's horrible. where were you? on LI? people have such road rage----it's really scary. thank g-d nothing happened to you---other than the lasting affects of nightmares and being scared.

THANK GOD you are okay!!!! There are crazy people out there and you never know if they will do what they say. God was with you that is why the car in front of you moved at that very moment. Say a prayer, take a deep breath and be thankful you had an angel on your shoulder.

On a happier note congrats on being domestic partners. I hope in the near future the gov't will recognize your marriage as well.
