Ok..so I walked out looking like Shirley Temple with a poof with porn star makeup and wasted over a hundred dollars. I brought pictures, showing half up/half down styles, only a small piece pullted up, mainly down with very loose curls, pretty much the ends of her hair were curled. I said I want it a little tighter but LOOSE. My hair is long and very thick. The girl was yapping and yapping away, how the last girl she did came back with her present for her, how the girls looked like movie stars. I'm watching her as she starts curliny my hair, and from underneath puting tons and tons of hair spray. I'm noticing my hair is getting fuller and fuller and shorter and shorter. When she's all said and done my hair is shalaked down, so sticky, my hair which is to the middle of my back, is now to my sholders and puffed out like a poodle. I told her I wanted the curls looser and she starts telling me oh you're hair is too thick to do it like that. She keeps putting pieces up, or moving booby pins not getting, I WANTED LOOSE WAVES NOT RINGLETS. Next is makeup, I tell the girl my face gets very oily and I would like her to use a foundation lighter then my skin tone, since foundation always get darker on my skin and I don't want to look tan. What do I see her take out, all Mac foundations, which look HORRIBLE on me. I picked out the eye colors, pinks and purples, thinking it won't look too dark as I don't like dark colors on my lids. She spent maybe 15-20 minutes tops on my entire face. She didn't even put powder to set the foundation. I look in the mirror. I'm orange and my eyes lids look black. I felt so akward saying I didn't like it. So, I'm like yea it looks pretty. Next thing I know she's like ok what's your address. I wanted to say, um I never said I was booking with you, but didn't know what to say. It was an extremely akward positon. And the girl that did my hair saw how thick my hair was. Why would you start the curls at the root and put about a can of hair sprary? So bascially I left with these girls thinking I booked with them. When I walked to the front, the girls at the front took a minute and then were like oh it looks so pretty. I have been home an hour, looked in the mirror and the makeup already slid off my nose and is all creased. I took off all this crap off and combed out my hair. I'm not sure if I should call tomorrow and tell them I'm not using them or wait. Is this normal? Can I not curl my hair since it was thick without looking like a poodle? I feel like I just burnt my money lol.

You poor thing!! Its horrible to pay for something and hate the way it comes out!! I know that sometimes when you´re put in an awkward position you don´t know what to say. It´s happened to me a few times. I would just let them know you´re not booking with them. You don´t have to give them any excuses or anything. Just simply I decided to go with someone else or whatever.

ahhh thats terrible!!! (but i have to say your shirley temple porn star description made me laugh a little.... ok a lot) sorry you wasted your money on a hopeless trial
i would dcall them if you want and just let them know that you were extremely dissatisfid with it, but if you dont call i think thats fine too lol you already wasted money on it why waste time lol

ugh horrible! But I guess that is what a trial is for. How did you find this duo? Were you recommended to them by someone? Anyway - I think you should call tomorrow and say that you changed your mind on the way home and you are not ready to book with them. Hopefully you were able to hide from society dressed like porn-star annie.

lol..They were recommened by people on the knot. Noone I know personally. As you can tell, I wouldn't recommend.

At least it was a trial and even though you dropped a nice wad of $$$ on them, it's better to know, then not to right?
Anyway, do they know the date of the wedding? did you give them the address? If not, you don't have to call. ALSO, they shouldn't have assumed you were going with them. THEY should know that it was a TRIAL and you obviously haven't made a final decision yet.
If they DO know your info and you want to avoid telling them it was TERRIBLE, you can call and tell them a family friend is going to do your hair and makeup for free as a wedding gift. It's a way out if you don't want to be confrontational.

That stinks. You can totally curl your hair w/o it getting thicker. Well, it's going to get a little fuller but it shouldn't be a poof.

did you take pics? if you did bring them to your next trial and tell them this is what i dont want to look like!!!
