There are never good words to day to someone when this happens. The only thing I can think of is in one of my classes on Native American indians one of the tribes believes in 'spirit babies'

They believe that sometimes their creator decides that for some reason it isn't quite the right time for a baby to be born and he takes them away. But this 'spirit baby' stays with the mother and when 'the creator' feels its a good time again, the woman will get her 'spirit baby' back. I always thought it was a comforting way to look at a misscarriage. they believe that you don't LOSE a child but it is held for a period of time until things are just right.

You are absolutely right about the silver lining. My MOH's sister tried for 3 years to get pregs spent tens of thousands on invetro and lost 2 of them The silver lining is so true, bc at least she knew she could get pregnant and is now due this June!
