Has anyone blocked rooms with the Sheraton (Hauppauge) or Wingate by Wyndham (Commack)? Can you please share any feedback you have for these hotels? (service, cleanliness) Also, did they provide free breakfast and or shuttle service forthe guests?
TIA

Re: hotel block
I have been to the Sherton, I wasn't impressed. But everyone always forgets about the Hyatt on Motor Pkwy (behind CA). They are good and they only require an 8 rooms to confirm the others were 10 when I looked.

Re: hotel block
I'm not familiar with the two you mentioned, but I blocked rooms at the Hampton Inn in Commack. Their rates were very reasonable, they were very helpful, and they include free breakfast. I'm not sure about the shuttle thing though, I didn't ask.

We blocked our rooms at the Hyatt and they are great so far. They have a shuttle that goes to Islip Airport and Ronkonkoma train station (but nowhere else). We are going to arrange for a shuttle service for our OOT guests staying at the Hyatt. FM me if you would like more info!!! Sorry I don't have any info on the two you mentioned!!

Re: hotel block
Thanks girls. I looked into the Hyatt b/c it was actually my first choice but they rate they quoted me seemed very high and the breakfast was very expensive so I want to look at my other options. Thanks for the info and suggestions.
Does anyone else have info on either of these hotels? Thanks!

Re: hotel block
We almost blocked at the Hyatt, they were really nice and friendly, but in the end we decided against it because in their contact they have a clause that states if you do not meet the number of rooms you blocked off then you will have to pay for it. That scared me and FH, in the end we choose the Marriott Islandia which is down the street from the Hyatt, Their rate was great, the hotel is very nice, we actually stayed a night at both the Hyatt and the Marriott before we made our choice, and also in their contact, they did not have that funky clause about the minimum rooms. If we dont meet it then they go back to the general public.
I'll be staying at the Marriott the night before, they gave me a discounted suite, and we will also be staying the wedding night. FH will stay at the Hyatt the night before.
