I was told you have to wait untill a year before the wedding to block rooms no earlier is this true Fh works for the mariott and he doesnt even know you know men lol any way we get a discount through him but were gonna block rooms anyway so do we have to wait or cn i do it now my 1 year mark is next week anyway yipeeeeee!!! just checking?

depends on the hotel. I blocked rooms in June 09, wedding in August 2010!

Depends on the hotel, most said a year out. I am VYC bride and we did our room block at the Whyndam on crooked hill road, it was the closest.

def totally depends on the hotel. one hotel told me 11 months mark. but I did see other girls on here that blocked way before the year before. just either make FH ask at his job or even call on ur own and ask them

I signed my contract in May or June of 09 for my July 2010 wedding. I just did not get the blocking code until July 09.

It can't hurt to try early. I just blocked rooms for my wedding in October 2010, and was able to get a great rate because it's so early.
