So when I booked my block, they would only let me block a min. 10 rooms but no more until people started to book them
A friend said there weren't many rooms left when they went to book today (under my block), so I called to add more to my block (which I was told I could do no problem- and which is why we booked a hotel shuttle form there)
And now they say they have to call me back to see what they can add.
I am beyond p*ssed

that's so annoying...is there another hotel in the are that you could use?...my hotel blocked 15 and they keep on opening up more for us as people call up.

Where did you block. I blocked mine at the Uniondale Marriott and they blocked off 15 rooms for me. They told me once they arent booked by the date they would be released but I could always add more.

The Fairfield Inn in Syosset...grrrr...hopefully they add the 20 more that I want and call it a day

I heard the same thing about the Garden City hotel. Not hotel block user friendly.

I just hope the guy at the front desk was just awkward, and the lady that handles the blocks will call me back tomorrow and we will have no problems!

Whew- I called again today and spoke with the sales manager (who was annoying, BTW) and she said she would add 6 rooms. I told her that wasn't goo enough and that I believed their word when they said they could add more than that because they are a Marriot property- she called me back and added 15!
So I have a room block of 25 rooms....I think we should be ok (I hope!). 5 are booked already- and invites aren't even out yet!

She was a real brat about it- but I got almost what I wanted....with inviting 167, is a block of 25 ok?
FH's family (parents, brother & his family, grandparents, aunt & uncle) all rented a house.....so with OOTers (invited) we have about 140. If 80 percent attend, we have 112
I'm nervous with only 25 rooms, but what else can we do?

u should call the Hampton Inn Jericho-Westbury and do an additional block through them.
they have a shuttle and you can pass the cost off to your guests if you want.
