Hotel Block drama finally over

After being completely screwed by the crowne plaza in Holtsville, I took great comfort in ripping the contract to pieces, now that we are officially blocked at the Springhill Suites Marriott in Bellport.

Girls booked at the crowne plaza: I urge you to reconsider. The bar, breakfast and price are VERY tempting, however they have terrible customer service and are notorious for overbooking. Search the 2011 boards and you don't have to take my word for it.

The Marriott on the other hand worked with us and we are SO excited to have our guests staying there!!!

So glad that you finally took care of the hotel block! I was reading some really horrible things about the Crowne Plaza and didn't even consider them.

Did you speak to Lisa at SpringHill Suites? I spoke with her last week and she was so nice! We're probbly going to go with them but they don't have a shuttle which I'm not too happy about. Once we get some quotes for shuttles we'll make a final decision.

Ooh thats weird, when Gerard told us about that hotel he said that they do have a shuttle. But we were planning on getting a bigger one anyway cause we have a lot of OOTers.

FH actually handled this Lol but yeah he spoke to Lisa!

Hmm. Well now I'm a little annoyed. When I asked her about the shuttle she said that it was only for pickups/dropoffs at the airport and train stations. She said that they couldn't take the shuttle away from the other guests. I think she's away on vacation this week so I'll give her a call when she gets back. I just don't want to have to spend the extra $$ if I really don't have to. I'll keep you posted.

And your FH is so sweet! I know what a pain in the @ss the hotel block has been for you!
