Hotel Block in Manhattan, close to LGA

Hotel Block in Manhattan, close to LGA

Ceremony is in Upper Manhattan (207th and broadway)
Reception is close to the Throgs Neck Bridge (Bronx)

Do you think a hotel near LGA would be best for the guests coming from out of town. Most hotel blocks I've seen in the city are over $250 per night and that's just not ideal for every one of my OOT guests to spend for at least 4 nights in NY

you should look into several options. maybe you can get a car service/limo company to do a continuous loop for like 1 hour lets say to get your guests back and for from the hotel to the RH and then back to the hotel at the end of the night.
or maybe make several stops from the hotel to the church and then to the RH.
If the ceremony is in NYC, then i would stay in Queens. it would be convenient for all. NYC might be too pricey

thanks for the suggestions. I have put in my requests to Marriot and I heard the W has good hotel block prices.. We'll see what they come up with.

I don't even need the fancy schmancy stuff (well it's not in the budget)

There's a few hotels in Long Island City you might want to check out, it's closer to Manhattan than the airport.

Holiday Inn Manhattan View

I stayed here once and it was pretty nice and the train is like 2 blocks away and 2 or 3 stops from the city.

Verve Hotel

I might be getting ready at this hotel, seems nice enough && it's got a lot of positive reviews if you look it up.

I don't know pricing for hotel blocks but I know the regular room rates are not too bad compared to hotels in the city.

BTW not sure if all hotels in the city have tiny rooms but I stayed at the Radisson on 32nd street once and it was the tiniest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Two people wouldnt be able to walk in front of the bed at the same time because there was barely any space between the dresser and bed. Anyway just something to think about, Manhattan hotel rooms are prob small

I have stayed in a hotel near the Radisson when I was just a tourist before and it was small. For the price that most of these hotels charge, it's ridic.

I have contacted the W hotels and a few Courtyards just to see what they have to offer.

I would look into a hotel near the rh... easy way for them to get back afterward... see if the hotel will provide a shuttle service after X amount of rooms are booked!

Haha, I did look at hotels near the RH and they are all motels... HA! the RH is more of an event space and not a known RH (it's only 18 months old).. It's in the heart of the italian neighborhood in the bronx, surrounded by homes so hotels are few and far between...

Just doublechecking, You put in a request with the Marriot near LGA? Because I was thinking of the Courtyard by Marriott close to LGA.

There's also the Crowne Plaza Laguardia on Ditmars Blvd. (it's right across the Grand Central Pkway from LGA)

Also, Fairfield Inn by Marriott New York Queens/Astoria
45-20 Astoria Blvd

Then there's the Clarion Hotel Laguardia also on Ditmars BLvd.

I am THIS close to booking a hotel block here @ Manhattan View... most of their rooms have Manhattan Views and for under $200, I am so happy for my guests!
