I just went through all that and it was very frustrating because there were no major hotels anywhere nearby. I went with the huntington hilton, i liked the hotel and the bar would stay open late for us. A problem i ran into was that i couldnt use their shuttle because it only fit 14 people and I needed something to fit atleast 50 because there will be only 1 pickup and 1 drop off since the thatched cottage is aboug 25 min from the hotel. If we did mulitple pickups/dropoffs, it would be about an hour in between each because of the distance and I didnt want that. So i had to hire an outside company to accomdate that and it wasnt cheap. We were in the same situation and also picked the Huntington Hilton. We are not using the shuttle so I don't have any experience with that.

There's always the Chalet Inn which is literally a block away. It looks a bit shady from the street, but it's actually not bad at all.

Thanks ladies! I'm looking into the ones they gave us as 'house vendors' but I feel like everything is so far away!

My friend got married there two years ago and she blocked off rooms somewhere off the LIE service road. Hotel was nice...and they provided shuttle service which was key!
