Hotel Block Near WCC/CHCC/Fox Hollow.

Can you girls post the info for the hotels u used to block off rooms? I want a place that won't charge me for any unused rooms/that wont ask for credit card info. I believe there are places like that but i havent done my research yet so thought maybe you girls can help before I do.

I booked with the Hilton of Plainview ($129 per night) and also got rates from the Hilton in Huntington ($135 per night). They did not require and deposit nor do they charge for unused rooms. They blocked a small amount of rooms (10) and said they can add more as people book but only up to one month prior to the event (my wedding is 8/6/2011 and they said they can not guarantee availability to anyone booking later then 7/15).
FM me if you want the exact contact info (names/emails/phone numbers) for the hotels.
They also have a shuttle available to rent which for me was a huge plus.

i booked Four Points Sheraton in Plainview. $135 for Sat or Sun nights. They give you 15 rooms free-of-charge. Any more than that, you have to guarantee that a certain amount of rooms will get booked.

the hotel itself is beautiful on the inside ... but the outside is a bit run down. but it's right on the LIE service road which is nice.

I'm getting married at CHCC and blocked rooms at the Best Western Woodbury Inn. We got a free shuttle too.

It's 109 for a king and 119 for 2 doubles.

did you have to guarantee any rooms or use a credit card??

We did the Hilton Garden Inn at Melville...not sure if we had to use a credit card.

We did this too. You needed a card if you tried to block over 15 rooms, I think.

I have my block there and they told me you don't need to give a credit card for under 25 rooms.

i justcalled and the same people own both this and executive inn. they told me that 109-119 is for executive and best western is 10$ higher but that may be bec i only need about 10 rooms.

yeah i agree - i'm probably going with the executive/best western also b/c most of FH's family is OOT and i don't want to ask them to spend too much for hotels.

We have a block at Melville Marriott....for $109/night. There is no shuttle service tho. The rooms are clean and its convenient for our guests. I also really like Homewood Suites but their salesperson and I played phone tag too long so we booked with MM.
ETA: Did not have to leave a cc for deposit. They just release any unbooked rooms back into inventory 4 weeks before your wedding block starts. We blocked 30 rooms.

Nope. I blocked 10 rooms without a credit card..they said that if less than 5 people book, then those that did book will have to pay the regular rate. I was a little iffy about that but it worked out b/c 9 people booked.

oh great! they also told me that if 5 or more thats the only way 2 get free shuttle
