Hi Brides! I was wondering if anyone has a hotel block out east (Riverhead area). I booked my max number of rooms at East Wind and now I am looking into Holiday Inn, Hilton and Indigo and see rates and possible shuttles. Thanks!
we did our second hotel block at the Hilton in Riverhead because I found that the Holiday Inn was just less responsive, and I don't remember why we didn't do Hotel Indigo but I don't think it was for any negative reason. I didn't think the shuttles with the Hilton were that good of a deal though, I would ask your limo company about that.
oh and they were all quoting us the same exact prices for rooms, so it came down to customer service and shuttles.
thanks!! yea east wind told me i can't block more rooms until the date gets closer which kind of sucks but i understand not to take away from other weddings possible... how early do i have to block- whats the hilton rate?
I just booked my block at Hotel Indigo East End. They gave a better price than The Hilton and Holiday Inn. Also being my wedding is on a Sunday and the bar closes early they are going to keep it open late for me (at no charge). The only bad thing is that they do not offer a complimentary shuttle. They do give you a company that they work with to get the best rates.
I did my room block with the HGI. Hyatt was cheapest but HGI matched it. HTH!

I got the best rates from Holiday Inn- Hilton and Indigo were much higher (Indigo is really nice though!) Anybody want to compare quotes? FM if you want any of mine- would love to hear yours!
What does East Wind max you out at?
I'll check my price quotes when I get home from work today... my wedding is on a Sunday so when we hit the 8 month mark there were not other weddings for my night so we were able to add more. Hopefully that happens for you too!

I am getting married at East Wind on Sun. 5/25/14, so it is of Memorial Day weekend. I contacted the inn at East Wind and they gave me almost $300 per room if I did a room block. I know my guests will not want to pay that much, so I decided not to even do any rooms at East Wind. I ave booked rooms at the Ramada Plaza in Holtsville. It is a 20 minute drive, but I am from Nassau County and all of my guests will be coming from there or even further such as the city and NJ, so we figured booking a place 20 minutes away, but closer to where we live would make more sense. If you need pricing per room, let me know! The Ramada has just been fully re-done, rooms are very nice and they have a full service bar and restaurant open 24/7.
