We are responsible for half of the min. If the rest aren't booked, they are released 6 weeks before the date so you aren't responsible for them.
I like that its big and has a pool that my guests can enjoy the next day. Bar closes at 1 which isn't he most ideal, but my party ends at 1 so I may extend it.
No shuttle service on wknds

When I inquired with the Marriott, they said they absolutely CANNOT keep the bar open any later than their normal closing time. I'd double check on that if it's important to you.

Oh, I know they won't extend the bar hrs at the hotel, I may extend it through my RH...like a cigar and cordials hour for OOT guests in a smaller room or outside...have to discuss it.

I would def not take the one where you are responsible for 80% thats a lot of financial obligation for you. I think the 2nd one is too much, but thats only cuz the ecomomy ***** and some of ur guests may have been laid off, or having a hard time paying the bills. I would keep looking and have a less expensive alternative. Maybe u can block that and another less expensive one that doesn't require any obligation to you and then guests have that obtion!! jmo

I would book whatever hotel is more convenient for your guests. Personally, I find that as nice as Long Beach is its an inconvenience to get to because of its location in relations to parkways.
Also, keep in mind that if you need to rent a coach bus it will not be able to go on the wantagh parkway (if thats the route to your reception hall).

my rooms are blocked at the Hilton in Westbury. It's $149/night. shuttle is free with 10 rooms booked, otherwise, it comes out to be $5pp roundtrip.
