Our RH & church are in Nassau (Syosset) and our families are from Suffolk (Setauket).
Where do I do a hotel block? I know you're supposed to do it near the RH but our families live in Suffolk so I feel like they would want to be close to us & the people they are visiting...

Our hotel isn't really close to our RH but is closer to our families. Were going to be providing a shuttle for our guests so they dont have to worry about traveling to & from the hotel to the RH.

i think it is more about the convenience to the wedding/church. your family will be so busy before & after the wedding they prob wont want people at their house

ours is near the RH. It should be easy for them to get to after the wedding is over. I don't want my guests having to worry about driving after they've been drinking.

I am in a similar position, but I decided to book a hotel nearby the RH.
You could always book 2 seperate blocks. There is usually no charge for booking/cancelling.

If you provide transportation for them You could book it in Suffolk. If not then I would probably block by the RH.

we are using the Melville Marriott. It's close enough to NRC and it's technically in suffolk. I just feel it should be closer to the wedding. that's why they are in town afterall.
