Hotel Block Question

Any specific things I should be looking for or asking? What did you girls do? And, my NRC girls, who are you using??? I'm looking for a hotel where I can do a brunch the next day.

TIA

Re: Hotel Block Question

I think price is a big thing to ask, is there any discounts they would offer for a certain amount of rooms, their policy on how many rooms you can block at a time (some places only do 10 rooms at first and then add rooms as they come in) and also if you and FH get a special deal for booking your rooms their also

I kinda figured about the price. Where did you book Gaby? Will they even let me book this far in advance?

I would also ask what happens if not all of the rooms are booked and what you and your fh would be responsible for if they dont get all booked...sometimes you need to get 7 of the 10 rooms so you are not charged anything.

Re: Hotel Block Question

i havent booked anything yet...the places I have taken a look at wont book until about a year in advance, so its just a waiting game right now (same thing with the honeymoon...)

Figure we should really get to researching/trying to book it by the end of the summer beginning of the fall...

Re: Hotel Block Question

Kinda need to know which hotel before I book the limo I think. At least if I can figure out which I'll go with, I can book the limo. Right???? Since that's where I'll be getting picked up???

what about asking the hotel if they have a shuttle for your guests ??

That would solve the transportation issue wouldn't it. I always forget that one.

I'm an NRC bride too. I'm planning to look at the Four Points Sheraton in Plainview, the Huntington Hilton, and the Melville Marriott. Also maybe the Marriott Courtyard in Farmingdale on 110.

I have already booked my limos. I think it only makes a difference with limos if the destinations are ridiculously far apart. For instance, I told Joe at Camelot (and also Proline, my photographer) that I will either be getting ready at a hotel somewhat close to NRC or my house in Massapequa. My house is not that far from any of the hotels I'm looking at, so it doesn't make a difference in price.

Questions I plan on asking:
price
bridal suite
bar open late for semi-after party
shuttle to/from NRC
penalties if all rooms aren't booked
giving out welcome bags
