I think I remember there being a topic w/ a poll on what everyone's prices are... If I'm correct can someone PLEASE bump it?
The hotel we're thinking of just quoted me $139 per night, including a full deluxe breakfast. I MUST guarantee 50% of the rooms blocked, and the price if I were to book on their website are less than the quote I received Aren't we supposed to get a discount for blocking rooms, not a pay a greater fee...? Is $139 too much to ask guest to pay...?

i dont think $139 is bad at all, especially since it includes breakfast.
we booked out block at the fox hollow and it is more than that but also include breakfast and a shuttle to and from our RH. also, we have to guarantee 60% of the block. HTH

I guess it depends on the hotel. I do not have to guarantee any percentage of the rooms and for a while on their site, the price she quoted me was more than the price on their site.
See if you can do a block with no guarantee... We have no guarantee just have to have people book by a certain date. There is no breakfast included and it's $159-169 depending on the room they choose. This hotel is close to Manhattan though.

Ours is $129. I dont think $139 is too much to ask guests to pay but I do think thats its weird that it is less on their website. I would try to negotiate it down to at least whats on the website. Good luck!

I think the $139 is an awesome price if they are including the breakfast. Maybe that's why the price is a little more because they are including the breakfast?
Our room block is $129 per night and we aren't doing a breakfast with it. We didn't have to put any money down to block the rooms and we don't get penalized if all the rooms aren't booked. We also get free shuttle service with 10 rooms booked and a free room for the night if 15 rooms are booked.

We booked online actually, and got an even better rate than we were quoted on the phone!! Ours is $119 per night, including breakfast! There is no bar or shuttle at our hotel though, if that makes any difference to you.

I got a hotel quote of $99 but without breakfast or transpo. I think $139 is a good price considering it includes food, but the Hyatt I'm using didnt say I had to guarantee any of the blocked rooms...
