Hotel Block Questions

Jericho Terrace girls what hotel did you block?

Also would if be wrong of me to not block a hotel? I have about 20 OOT families and i have no idea if they need Saturday or Sunday night or both. Its all FH family and he is just not getting me this info so im about to just say screw it.

Also if i block rooms do you have any financial obligation if people dont fill the block? I was thinking of just blocking 20 rooms Saturday night and Sunday night, but not if i will get stuck paying for anything.

You'd have to call the hotel to ask about the financial obligation part, but all the hotels I called said nope! I blocked rooms at The Holiday Inn in Carle Place for my wedding (not at Jericho Terrace though - Swan Club). We blocked 10 rooms and only 4 are being used. What happens is the guests have til a certain date to book and then whatever rooms aren't taken just go back into the hotels' stock (if that makes sense). I was shocked I wouldn't have to pay a thing, but thats how they work it.

We booked a the LaQuinta Inn in Garden City.

I think they require you block 10 rooms, but there is no financial obligation if they aren't booked. Your guests just have to book it by one month before your wedding...if I remember correctly. If those rooms aren't booked they just open uip for other people to book them.
