Hotel Block Questions
Okay, so we are getting married NEXT YEAR! so excited to finally be able to say that lol!! We are talking about hotel blocks now and I have a few questions:1. Do you need to deposit for a certain amount of rooms? If so, what if you don't get all of those rooms blocked?
2. We are getting married at the Riviera in Massapequa - any brides (past of present) recommend a/some hotel(s) that will provide a shuttle?
We want to include hotel information in our save the dates which I am hellbent on sending out on exactly 5-15 lol
Thanks in advance ladies!!!!

Hotel Block Questions - Long Island Weddings
we didn't put any deposit down and we booked at the viana hotel. we blocked 24 rooms and had to guarantee that 1/2 book, otherwise we pay the difference. but we already have 11 rooms blocked and only need one more until we are good... the four points sheraton in plainview was the same deal i think

Hotel Block Questions - Long Island Weddings
It depends on the hotel, but typically..
1. You only have to put down a deposit if you are trying to block a very large number of rooms. Most hotels let you block anywhere from 25- 35 rooms without deposit. They will let you block more with no deposit if you agree to let the room block expire further out (i.e. 60 days out from your wedding instead of 30 days). If you don't block all the rooms and you had to put down a deposit, they charge you for any rooms not booked.
2. Sorry, can't help on this one.

Hotel Block Questions
I booked hilton garden inn in plainview. We got to block 10 rooms for free no charge to us. Anything over that we are responsible for filling fifty percent of those rooms. We took 30 and we are already at 18 rooms booked so we are good.I'm originally from massapequa. There is a best western on sunrise hwy in massapequa that is about 3 min drive to Rivera
Or there are those hotels on route 110 by the republic airport. I believe it's a courtyard by marriot and another one. Those are very close as well!
