Hotel Block sadness
I waited too long to set up my hotel block at the East Wind and now there are only 6 rooms available that night! Of course I booked them, but we have a lot of out of town guests and now I don't know what to do!Does anyone know what other hotels are out there? I doubt they provide a shuttle but, if I paid for one, how does it work? They do one trip there and one trip back or as many trips as needed? I knew my laziness would bite me in the a$$ at some point.

The Hilton garden inn in Riverhead does a shuttle, they charge for it, it was like $400 or so..but they definitely do them!

Re: Hotel Block sadness
The same thing happened to me with block booking rooms at East Wind. I'm getting married at the estate on 8/9/14 and when I booked it last August, I waited until October to reserve the rooms. Big mistake!! They only had 5 rooms available, not nearly enough for all our guests. I ended up block booking 20 rooms at the Fairfield Marriot in Medford. It's a bit further than what I would have liked, but it was the most reasonably priced, since hotels closer to East Wind wanted $300 plus per night!! Hilton Garden Inn wanted almost $400 per night!! Ridiculous, but since its the height of the season, the hotels could get that price since people come out for the Vinyards, Hamptons, etc. Since your wedding is in October, you will probably get lower rates since its not summertime, but BOOK NOW!!

I ended up booking 10 rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn (actually a cheaper rate than the East Wind!) and 10 rooms at the Comfort Inn Medford (the cheapest). I figured, for my guests driving in from out of state, they won't mind travelling the 20 mins from Medford. My NY guests who want to party and not drive home, they can stay closer and I'm providing the shuttle to and fro the Hilton, so it all ended up working out. But I'm still bummed that I didn't get many rooms at the East Wind.Welcome New Vendors
